That’s why we are proud partners of Cleaning for a Reason, a national nonprofit providing free house cleaning services to cancer patients.
For us, this mission is deeply personal.
In 2014, our co-owner Kelly was diagnosed with breast cancer. After surgery and during a long recovery journey, she and her husband Michael experienced firsthand how cancer affects more than just the patient—it touches the entire family. It disrupts daily routines, drains energy, and makes even simple household tasks overwhelming. Through this season, Kelly and Michael discovered how vital it is to have support systems in place that bring peace, relief, and dignity to families fighting cancer.
By supporting Cleaning for a Reason, we extend that same care to others walking a similar path. Our professional cleaning teams help lift the burden of housekeeping, giving cancer patients and their loved ones the gift of time and energy to focus on healing and togetherness.
This is more than a partnership for us—it’s a promise. A promise to stand alongside families in our community, to offer hope in the middle of hardship, and to continue “keeping America beautiful, one house at a time,” especially when it matters most.

Like you, we know what it feels like to juggle too many demands at once. During our corporate careers—Michael in retail leadership for companies like McRae’s (a division of Sak’s), Pier 1, and Kirkland’s, and Kelly in telecom and business process outsourcing with Bell South, Xerox Services, and other Fortune 500 companies—we often relied on cleaning services to help us manage our busy lives. Unfortunately, we discovered that most services fell short on consistency, reliability, and professionalism.
When Michael retired, that disappointment inspired us to build something better. We launched our first Home Cleaning Centers of America franchise in Louisville, KY in 2016, and later expanded to Fort Worth, bringing with us the lessons learned from decades in business: the importance of exceptional customer service, a methodical process, and a commitment to people.
We also know from personal experience just how critical support at home can be. After Kelly’s breast cancer diagnosis, the burden of daily responsibilities became heavier than ever—not just for her, but for our whole family. That season reinforced the true value of professional house cleaning: it’s not just about tidy rooms, it’s about lifting a weight so families can focus on what really matters—healing, togetherness, and peace of mind.
Today, we bring that perspective to every home we serve. We haven’t forgotten how valuable it is to walk into a sparkling clean house and feel the stress melt away.
